Is there anyone at the library that can help me with EndNote?
If you have questions about downloading or installing the EndNote software, you should contact IMT at 626-815-5050 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The library does have a librarian dedicated to providing EndNote assistance or instruction. Please contact Dave Harmeyer at email@example.com or 626-815-6000 ext. 3255. Also, the following guides and tutorials may help:
- LibGuide: How To Export Database Records into EndNote
- LibAnswers: EndNote import filters
- EndNote Training Videos
Of particular note: the "How to Use EndNote in 7 Minutes" and "Bibliographies Made Easy" videos.
- EndNote Help Documentation
If you get a message that says your 30 day trial is over and you need to provide it with a product key, the product key should be in the folder where you originally downloaded EndNote. Trace where the download occurred. In the folder (it will be labeled something like EndNote X7) you should see a document that says License.txt. When you click on this you should see something like:
Serial Number: XXXXXXXXXX (where X = numbers)
Product Key: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX (where X = a number or an upper case letter)
Copy the alpha-numeric product key. Open your EndNote and when it asks you for the product key paste this number into the box. If this doesn't work call IMT at (626) 815-5050.
