The APU Libraries do not use EZproxy for authentication; we use a program called Web Access Management.

However, this URL prefix will redirect links through our authentication system, similar to what EZproxy does: http://www.apu.edu/library/proxy/?url=

From a quick glance at the Papers support forum, it looks like you’ll need to paste that URL prefix in the "Preferences" menu in Papers.

Papers is a bibliographic management program for Mac. If you would like to find a free product that does many of the same things, we recommend the following:

  • EndNote - APU has a site license, which means that APU patrons can download a free copy of the software. For help with exporting and importing citations with EndNote, see our LibGuide.
  • Mendeley - "A free reference manager and academic social network"
  • Zotero - "An easy-to-use yet powerful research tool that helps you gather, organize, and analyze sources (citations, full texts, web pages, images, and other objects), and lets you share the results of your research in a variety of ways"
  • LibX - "A Firefox and Internet Explorer extension that provides direct access to your Library's resources"
